On Friday September 20th, 2013 USA Today published an article titled House Immigration Group Collapses. This article is about two house representatives who abandon a bipartisan group that have been working on the nations immigration laws for years now. Representative John Carter, R-Texas, and Representative Sam Jonhson, R-Texas, put the blame for their decision to leave the House working group on President Obama. They believe that the President will not enforce the immigration law. Leaving the group with only one republican left and four democrats. This article is an interesting yet disappointing reading because it proves another reason why it is that no progress is getting done in our country. Knowing that this immigration system is broken and something needs to be done our so beloved representatives call it a day and quit on us. "The bipartisan group just wasn't getting support from Republican House leadership," Representative Luis Gutierrez says, "It's just not gonna happen now." They spend most of their time playing politics instead of taking initiative and doing something that will actually be beneficial for our country. I'm sorry but if they weren't going to own up to their title "House Of Representatives" then they should step down and allow someone who will actually care for the people's well being represent our country. It is very important that our country's immigration system gets fixed. Our commitment to justice, the country's economy, our security, as well as the growth of the country's need for a modern immigration system. Everyone deserves a better future even those who risk their lives coming here and work their butts off everyday so they can give their children a better tomorrow.
